When the runner plan wins
GitHub-hosted macOS runners bill about $0.062 to $0.102 per minute. What the agent plan covers
On every machine the agent plan is $30 a month more than the runner plan. That pays for the parts an agent needs and a build runner does not. A desktop session that stays logged in around the clock, Claude Code and Codex kept up to date, and the browser desktop so you can step in from any device. Model usage is not included.
