Terms of service

1What MacRun provides
MacRun leases you a single, dedicated Apple Silicon Mac (a “unit”) configured as a self-hosted GitHub Actions runner. One customer per unit — units are never shared or multi-tenanted. The lease term is monthly and renews until you cancel.
2Permitted use — developer services only
You may use the unit solely for permitted developer services: building, testing, and signing your own software. This mirrors the macOS Software License Agreement's allowance for leasing a Mac for permitted developer services. Any other use is a material breach.
3macOS license acceptance
The unit runs Apple's macOS under Apple's Software License Agreement. By using the unit you accept and agree to comply with that license. You acknowledge that MacRun leases you hardware and operates it on your behalf; Apple, not MacRun, licenses macOS.
4Acceptable use
Your use is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. Prohibited activity — including spam, iMessage or messaging abuse, cryptocurrency mining, and illegal content — results in immediate suspension.
5Data wipe on termination
When your lease ends — by cancellation, non-payment, or termination — your account and data are automatically and permanently wiped: user accounts deleted, the work volume securely erased, and the unit restored to a clean golden image before it is leased to anyone else. We do not retain your build data after wipe.
6No SLA; no refunds
MacRun is provided as-is with no service-level agreement and no uptime guarantee. We publish honest, per-unit uptime on our status page. Fees are non-refundable; you may cancel at any time and access continues until the end of the paid period.
7Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate a unit immediately for AUP violations, non-payment, or activity that threatens the fleet or others. For abuse we suspend first and ask questions after.
8Payment
Billing is handled by Stripe. Failed payments enter dunning (up to three retries over ten days); continued failure leads to suspension (data kept seven days) and then wipe.
