A cloud Mac for Claude Code

What you get

• A dedicated M6 Mac mini with 16 GB of memory. No one else uses it.
• Claude Code and Codex, installed. When the Mac is ready, a Terminal is open with your agent running.
• tmux, Homebrew, Google Chrome and Xcode, also installed.
• Admin rights, so you can add any tool your project needs.
• The desktop in a browser tab, from "Open my Mac" in your portal.
• SSH and screen sharing over a private Tailscale network. There is no public SSH port.
• Sleep is off, and the login session comes back after a reboot. The Mac is on wired ethernet with battery backup.

Why a Mac, and when you do not need one

Some work needs macOS. iPhone and Mac apps need Xcode and the iOS simulator, and those only run on a Mac. Our guide on why an iOS coding agent needs a Mac explains more.

Your plan, your sign-in

You sign in to Claude Code with your Claude account, or to Codex with your ChatGPT account. Your usual plan covers the usage. We sell no API keys and charge nothing per token. Sign-in happens on your Mac, in your account. We do not read your sessions.

Hand it work from your phone

Once you are signed in on the Mac, the Claude app and the ChatGPT app can send tasks to that session. When the agent needs a human, for example to approve a login, open the desktop in your browser.

Prices

• By the month: $169 a month. The first month is $84. Cancel any month from your portal.
• For a day: $15, paid once.
• For a week: $59, paid once.

A day or week pass renews nothing. When the time is up, we wipe the Mac. Passes are sold while a Mac is free.

How to start

• On the signup page, pick the agent plan and how long you want it.
• Pay by card. The Mac is ready in under 5 minutes.
• Click "Open my Mac" in your portal. The desktop opens in a browser tab.
• Sign in to Claude Code in the open Terminal, then give it a task.
• For SSH, accept the Tailscale invite we email you.

The short facts

• The Macs are in our own private facility in New Jersey, United States.
• Live uptime for every Mac is on our status page.
• Email support@macrun.dev and a person answers, usually within the hour.
• One customer per Mac. We wipe it between customers.

Who should not rent this

• Your project does not need macOS. A Linux server costs less.
• You need a GPU server, Windows, or a static IP.
• You want API keys or tokens from us. We sell neither.
• You want a free trial. We do not offer one.
