Acceptable use policy
Last updated 2026-07-24
1Developer services only
A MacRun unit is for building, testing, and signing your own software. That is the only permitted category of use. If a workload isn't part of your development pipeline, it doesn't belong on the unit.
2Prohibited activity
- ✕Sending spam or bulk unsolicited email; running mail relays (SMTP).
- ✕iMessage, SMS, or other messaging automation and abuse.
- ✕Cryptocurrency mining or other proof-of-work workloads.
- ✕Hosting or distributing illegal content, malware, or stolen data.
- ✕Anonymizing or proxy traffic for others (e.g. Tor exit/relay, open proxies).
- ✕Scanning, attacking, or attempting to access systems you don't own.
- ✕Any use other than permitted developer services for your own software.
3Monitoring
We monitor aggregate network egress at the hub for abuse signatures — bulk SMTP, mass-messaging patterns, and anonymizing traffic — to protect the fleet and other customers. We do not inspect the contents of your builds. See the customer portal's data & privacy page for exactly what the operator can and cannot access.
4Enforcement
Violations result in immediate suspension of the unit — we suspend first and ask questions after. Repeated or severe violations lead to termination and a data wipe under the terms of service.
